Why subscriptions for Cloud, but one-time for Local?
As a principle, we love software you can buy once and own forever. That's exactly why the Local edition exists. However, the Cloud version requires persistent infrastructure to function seamlessly—secure database hosting, real-time memory indexing, and 24/7 background agent orchestration engines. These generate ongoing monthly server costs on our end. The subscription model exists strictly to offset these hard costs and keep the platform sustainable. We will always remain completely transparent about this and continue exploring ways to give you the most value possible.
